Outer Carrier Defense System - 2024

The Outer Carrier Defense System was designed in response to agencies movement towards outer carriers as their daily uniform. There are many benefits to an outer carrier, however they present additional opportunities as handles. Before these outer carriers  became the norm in law enforcement, there were few if any items for a subject to grab hold of during an encounter.

This course was designed with small officers in mind, so each technique is based upon a leverage principle and thus physics. These techniques do not rely on body strength and size.

Equipment needed: Casual or athletic clothing, footwear, and outer carrier/vest
Materials provided: Online Text.
